To safeguard its firm roots in the European investigative journalism community and as a source of good advice, Journalismfund Europe relies on the expertise of its International Advisory Board. Consisting of representatives from investigative journalism associations and centres, as well as other esteemed individuals in the community, the board is a valuable resource for the organisation. Alternatively, they are professional investigative journalists with a strong network in their own country. Upon appointment, members can no longer apply for a grant in their personal capacity.

The task of the advisory board consists of

  • guiding the organisation;
  • providing advice on the selection of jury members;
  • spreading calls and other communications;
  • providing feedback on the possible need for support in the journalism community, among other things.

Members of the Advisory Board act as an informal international sounding board and further the network in which the organisation operates.
