"[T]oday’s world doesn’t stop at national borders. Journalists shouldn’t either. However, facts and analysis of our interdependence are rare issues in European media. Only networks with members from across Europe are able to collect and decipher this information. We are such a network."
This is how Investigate Europe announces itself on its website. The nine journalists involved are from France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Great Britain.
The network states that it will operate as a multinational team, and that it wants to "merge and crosscheck facts – tackling the usual national bias", a mission that is in keeping with Journalismfund.eu's focus on cross-border journalism.
Some journalists behind Investigate Europe have received a Journalismfund.eu cross-border grant in the past.
