Yi-Shan Chen, Taiwan, is an instructor at National Taiwan University's School of Journalism and a deputy editor at Taiwan's CommonWealth magazine.
With a background in economics, Yi-Shan began her career in 1996 at CommonWealth before later joining the China Times. As a financial reporter, she covered financial reform, the privatization of state-owned enterprises and tax issues. She is interested in stories on reform during the democratic transformation of a nation, as well as crony capitalism and the fraud of financial systems.
She returned to CommonWealth Magazine in 2013.
