Roos Menkhorst (1984) has been working as an independent journalist since 2009. 

Her work is been published in national Dutch media such as newspaper Trouw, and weekly magazine de Groene Amsterdammer. She is part of the cooperation of investigative journalists SPIT. She wrote a biography about the well-known Dutch interviewer Bibeb. This book was in 2018 on the longlist of the Brusseprijs, the prize for the best Dutch journalistic book. 

Together with colleague Catrien Spijkerman she has published investigative reports on health care for five years now. Their work has been shortlisted for ‘de Loep’, the prize for best investigative journalism in the Netherlands and Flanders.
