Romaniia Gorbach is a Ukrainian journalist and media trainer who has worked in radio, print and online media.

Romaniia believes in using local stories to illustrate global issues and reach not only the minds but also the hearts of readers.

She was born in a small town in the Ukrainian Carpathians on the border with Poland. She studied journalism at the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv, Ukraine. Romaniia has worked in Kyiv for radio, online and print media. She also holds a Master's degree in Media and Communication from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain).

Since the beginning of the conflict in Donbass in 2014, the theme of the lost home and one's place in the world has become a key theme in her publications.
