Rabia Mehmood is a researcher, journalist and documentary filmmaker. 

Her work focuses on human rights violations and social justice issues. She was a South Asia researcher with Amnesty International in Colombo and a Massachusetts Institute of Technology fellow. She is the founding editor of an independent multimedia news portal. Her work has appeared in leading media outlets such as Al Jazeera English, New York Times, AFP, The Friday Times, The News, Al Jazeera America. As a consultant, she has worked with International Centre For Journalists and Front Line Defenders among others.
