Niels Guns (1978) is a freelance journalist based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

He frequently publishes in National Geographic Magazine for which he mainly writes long-reads on social and environmental issues.

From 2014 until 2019 Niels was the South Asia correspondent for daily newspaper Telegraaf and Dutch television news service RTL Nieuws. Besides this, Niels is podcast-maker and passionate music journalist.
