Laura Salm-Reifferscheidt is a freelance journalist based in Austria.

She focuses on global health, and social and environmental issues around the world. Her work has been published in outlets such as The Lancet, Mosaic Science, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, and broadcast on German, Austrian and Swiss public radio.

Laura is co-host of the Pandemia podcast, which examines the social history of disease outbreaks and considers them in a One Health context. She is the author of several books, among them Voodoo and IN/VISIBLE, a book on survivors of acid attacks.
