Ilie Gulca is an investigative journalist at TV8, a television network, based in Chisinau, Moldova. He collaborates with the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network and the Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR).

He is a graduate of the "Fellowship for Excellence in Journalism" Program of the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (2022). He was also an editor at the Journalistic Investigation Center of Moldova (2019-2022) and editor-in-chief of Jurnal de Chisinau (2009-2019).

He is the winner of several national awards for journalistic investigations. In 2016, he was awarded for the best investigation on corruption issues (UNDP Moldova). In 2017 he was the laureate of the Award of the President of the Independent Press Association "Courage + Dignity = Reputation". In 2019, he was designated the Journalist of the Year in Moldova, the investigative category of The Independent Journalism Center (IJC).
