Geri Emiri is the founder and executive director of the Amfora Centre.

He graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in Journalism and Communication. He has worked in various online and television media outlets. He continued his studies in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

He has received several awards, including second place in the EU Prize for Investigative Journalism in Albania in 2020. An activist for many years, he has undertaken several initiatives to improve community life in Durrës. Geri specialises in investigative journalism and supporting activists. He and the Amfora Media team have excelled in reporting on corruption, human rights, and organised crime. In 2023, they were awarded the EU Prize for Investigative Journalism in Albania for their investigation into the abuse of EU agricultural funds in Albania and North Macedonia.
