Bastian Kaiser is a German freelance journalist and foreign reporter. He has contributed extensively to print, online, and audiovisual media. His investigative journeys span across Europe, the Middle East, and South America, focusing primarily on reporting from Colombia in recent years.

Renowned for exploring international interconnections and delving into issues concerning human rights and social inequality, Bastian’s work resonates across various German-speaking news platforms. His reports have been featured in leading outlets including ARD, ZDF, Deutsche Welle, Deutschlandfunk, and Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 2023, Bastian was recognized as one of Germany’s “Top 30 under 30” emerging journalistic talents by Medium Magazin. 

Bastian studied Journalism at Technische Universität Dortmund and International Affairs at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals.
