AMSTERDAM - In her latest book, Dutch journalist Bette Dam tells a fascinating story of the fugitive Taliban leader Mullah Omar. She reveals among other things that Mullar Omar lived a short walk from a US base in Afghanistan. This book was made possible by our Pascal Decroos Fund grant programme.

JAKARTA - We're in Jakarta in Indonesia for Money Trail's five-day financial investigative journalism and data security training. 32 journalists and activists from 18 Asian countries are in attendance. This is the second round of training organised by the Money Trail Project.

BOURNEMOUTH - 'Land of plenty, land of but a few', a JF-supported multimedia cross-border story has been shortlisted for the New Media Writing Prize (NMWP), an initiative from the Bournemouth University, in England.

BRUSSELS - Mercy Killing, a Journalismfund.eu supported collaborative investigation has been nominated for De Loep, the prize for investigative journalism in the Netherlands and Flanders. 

BRUSSELS - The Flemish Journalism Fund was created in the Summer of 2018 by the Flemish government to support diversity and innovation in journalism in Flanders. In September, the Fund launched a subsidy call for innovative journalism projects. 37 journalists, organisations and start-ups applied.

BRUSSELS - We are excited to announce that our team has moved to a new location in the bustling city centre of Brussels. The new office will allow us to accommodate our increase in capacity.

BRUSSELS - In 2019, there will be four calls in total for mixed teams of journalists who want to investigate cross-border illicit financial flows, money laundering, tax abuse and corruption. 

BRUSSELS - There will be four application rounds in 2019. €175,000 will be distributed over 4 application rounds. With the European Cross-Border Grants, Journalismfund.eu will support professional journalists, who have good ideas for cross-border research on European affairs.

BRUSSELS - Money Trail grant programme for mixed teams of African, Asian and European journalists has got a deadline coming up on the 15^th of November. In the run-up to this deadline, we offer advice to journalists with questions about their idea or application.
