Journaiismfund.eu is looking for an it-consultant to provide advice for non-profit on new content management system.
Journalismfund.eu is a non-profit organisation working for in-depth, independent and innovative journalism in Europe. We offer research grants to international teams, we organise conferences and courses, we communicate within our networks and we administrate projects for international teams.
We are currently reviewing our strategies and routines and wish to adjust our tech communication- and content-management accordingly. We are looking for a consultant or a team to assist us in this process.
The consultant will conduct thorough talks with our seven staff to gain an overview over and do an inventory of our existing systems, routines and needs on the following activities (including hardware and software):
- application process
- network communication and collaboration
- content management and archive
- project management including conferences, courses
- link to existing bookkeeping system
She or he will suggest and discuss the necessary options and then describe the agreed specifications. She or he will then either suggest a team solution for further development and implementation or help Journalismfund.eu phrase a call for further tech development.
We envisage a model where the consultant assists in tracking relevant software that can meaningfully be adjusted to our needs. We prefer free and open source software suggestions. The proposal should also take into account the best practice related to security, back-up, user management and privacy of data.
The consultant should be able to start working with us as soon as possible and finalise in the first months of 2017. Further assistance may be needed during the implementation phase.
Please contact brigitte.alfter [at] journalismfund.eu (brigitte[dot]alfter[at]journalismfund[dot]eu) by Wednesday January 11th 2017 with a short bio and a clear proposal including an offer of the costs for the initial assistance described.
