Piotr Czaban is an independent migration and human rights journalist from Podlasie, Poland. 

He has been working as a journalist since 1998, for 13 years he was a reporter at TVN24 - the largest news channel in Poland. He received multiple awards for his work - the special award of Press Club Polska, Radio Zet Andrzej Woyciechowski Award, Polcul Foundation and an award in the Reportage and Columns category at the World Media Festival in Hamburg.

Since 2021, he has been running his own channel on YouTube and Facebook "Czaban robi raban"devoted to the humanitarian crisis on the border with Belarus and he also provides humanitarian aid on a Polish-Belarusian border as a member of Podlasie Volunteer Humanitarian Emergency Service.

PODLASIE - The project aims to present the issue of migration on the Polish-Belarusian border to the residents of Podlasie in an accessible and inclusive way. It assumes the creation of a news website and the organisation of a series of meetings in border towns.
