Maria Feck is a German freelance photojournalist and visual storyteller.
She studied photojournalism in Hannover, Germany and Arhus, Denmark. Her work has Benn published in well-known national and international media such as Der Spiegel, DIE ZEIT, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, GEO. For several research trips Maria travelled around the world. In her own projects she has a focus on social issues, politics, gender and environment. She was also a contributing photographer and multimedia journalist for the project Globale Gesellschaft (global society) focusing on migration in Europe, in cooperation of DER SPIEGEL, Le Monde, The Guardian and El Pais.
Maria is a member of womenphotograph and is represented by laif photo agency. For her work she received various grant and prizes such as Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin Grant, VG-Bildkunst Grant, Hansel-Mieth Preis, Lorenzo Nathalie Prize, KAUSA Media Award of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
