Mais Katt  is the EIF coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa.

She is an investigative journalist who focuses on conflict zones and the intersections of wars with critical contexts such as environmental crimes, human rights violations, migration, and women's issues. She has participated in major investigations with Lighthouse Reports, Arij, and OCCRP, and publishes her stories in Arabic and international media. Mais is a fellow of the International Center for Journalists in Washington, and on the shortlist for the Arab Investigative Journalist Award (ARIJ). and a European Press Prize Nominee 2024.​
