True Story Festival 2025 will take place in Bern on 20–22 June 2025.
The True Story Festival wants to bring together a broad audience with committed journalists from all over the world. It offers the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into elaborate research from the most diverse regions of the world and to exchange ideas directly with the reporters. At the events, asking questions and discussing is therefore not only allowed, but desired.
True Story Award 2025
On Friday, 20. June 2025, the True Story Award 2025 will be presented in the Kursaal Bern. 1049 texts from 102 countries were submitted for the fourth edition of the first global journalism prize. From the 36 best, the main jury chooses the three winners.
Stories in the city center of Bern
On Saturday, 21. June, and Sunday, 22. June, the reporters who have arrived speak and discuss their work and life in their countries of origin. 42 individual events take place at the following locations: Bernisches Historisches Museum, Gesellschaft zu Zimmerleuten, Grand Société de Berne, Erlacherhof, Kulturlokal ONO, Polit-Forum Bern, Progr.
Live Journalism
On Saturday, 21. June, the nominated reporters from seven countries will tell their best stories behind the stories live on stage in the auditorium of the Progr.

Admission for the events on Saturday and Sunday is free (collected), it is recommended to reserve a ticket in advance (limited capacity).
