NB website is a Czech regional media outlet covering local events in detail often overlooked by national press.
The aim is to create a platform for better coverage of community projects and events in general, with a wider reach than the usual community newsletters. The creation of such a platform not only disseminates information to the public, but also increases the sense of belonging and the ability to work together.
NB's mission is also to highlight the importance of the peripheries, to strengthen the pride of the inhabitants in their place of residence and to support the building of a positive identity. The Broumov region is a remote, rural area on the CZ-PL border that still feels uprooted by the post-war expulsion of the former German population. The region is currently at risk of becoming a socially vulnerable area due to the negative effects of transformation following the fall of communism. Therefore, the NB website regularly presents positive examples of people who live and work here to show that, despite the challenges mentioned above, the place where we live not only has historical, cultural and natural riches, but is alive and changing for the better.
