Altreconomia is a monthly magazine founded in November 1999 by a group of journalists specialising in the solidarity economy and international cooperation.
The magazine is an 'editorial case': it exists solely thanks to its readers, keeps advertisements to 10% of its budget, does not accept advertising from companies inconsistent with its editorial stance, and favours economic solidarity. Altreconomia's objective is to promote a solidarity-based, sustainable and just economy by providing independent information and communication services to organisations in other economies.
