Victor Ilie is a Romanian investigative journalist.
He has worked undercover work in the world of pickpockets in Copenhagen and Amsterdam, among the drug dealers of Bucharest and the highest ranking priests of the Romanian Orthodox Church. He has reported on doctors’ prescriptions being corrupted by pharmaceutical money, top politicians’ hidden deals, journalists’ propaganda fuelled by political money and Covid-designated funds stolen through rigged public tenders.
He has reported on Romanian hidden assets as part of the Panama Papers project and co-authored a series on the Tate brothers and their links to Romanian organised crime. He is now looking at big data and a propaganda network spanning Europe.
