Dr. Fischer-Butmaloiu is a German journalist, trainer and lecturer.

She completed a distance study course in Politics, Economics and Law, followed by the Master “Media and Intercultural Communication” at the University of Sofia / Bulgaria. She wrote her PhD on Russian media in crisis situations. At the International Center for Journalism at Free University of Berlin, she led training programs for journalists from all over Europe, the CIS and the USA. As a lecturer, she taught in Egypt, West Africa, Central Asia, the Balkans, Ukraine, the Caucasus and in Russia.
