Tijani Abdulkabeer is a freelance journalist based in Nigeria.

His work has appeared in Al Jazeera, University World News, The Republic, The Continent, Minority Africa, Premium Times Nigeria, The Xylom and the Mail & Guardian, among other international publications. He worked as a project monitor at the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development, where he investigated zonal intervention projects in Oyo State in southwestern Nigeria.

He is a recipient of fellowships from the African Foundation for Young Media Professionals (2022), the Liberalist Centre's Journalism for Liberty Fellowship (2022) and the London School of Economics Journalism Academy for Sub-Saharan Africa (2024). Abdulkabeer was also selected for the Gatefield Visual Journalism Fellowship. In 2024, he won the One World Media Global Health Solutions Fellowship, producing a documentary on vesicovaginal fistula in Niger State.

He won the African Institute for Development Policy Prize for the Media Award for Excellence in Emerging Health Technologies (2023) and the Alfred Opubor National Prize in Health Reporting for his report on Al-linked blood donation systems. His other awards include the Vice-Chancellor's Prize for Outstanding Student in Journalism and the Law Debating Society Prize for Non-Fiction Writing at the University of Ibadan.
