Sorin Semeniuc is an award-winning journalist, member of the Romanian Centre for Investigative Journalism and reporter for the national daily Romania Libera.

His work is primarily investigative, looking at the corruption that is so often at the heart of Romanian politics and law. He is the founder of the former investigative news website www.ziardebuzunar.ro and holds a PhD for his thesis on the relationship between the language of journalism and that of politics.
