Dr. Sona Singh is an independent journalist and researcher based in New Delhi, India.

She writes on issues at the intersection of human trafficking, gender, modern slavery, and migration.

Her journalistic career began at The Indian Express, New Delhi. She has been a part of cross-border investigations, and is a grantee of two projects supported by Journalismfund Europe. She is a fellow of the Journalism Centre on Global Trafficking programme, 2023.

Apart from journalism, Sona has a PhD in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her doctoral dissertation was on the “Trafficking of women in Russia.” She regularly contributes to academic journals and has also worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Delhi.

PUNJABI - BELGRADE - India and Serbia have enjoyed visa-on-arrival policy between 2017 and 2023.
