Sofyan El Bouchtili (born 1994) is a Belgian freelance journalist who is based in Amsterdam.
He studied journalism at Artevelde University College, as well as EU journalism at the Schools of Journalism in Utrecht (NL) and Aarhus (DK).
He began his career at the Dutch magazine Vrij Nederland, for which he was nominated for the Tegel Jaarprijs in the Pioneer category.
He chaired the first edition of the Stimuleringsfonds voor de Journalistiek journalism think tank.
