Sara Perria has worked in Asia since 2015, most recently in Myanmar and Afghanistan writing for international publications including Financial Times, Nikkei Asia, HuffPost and the Guardian.

Previously she worked as a financial journalist in newsrooms in London and Italy. She focuses on the roots of inequality in developing countries, including human rights breaches, supply chains and the broader economy. In Myanmar she covered extensively the Rohingya crisis and the 2021 military coup.
