Ruairi Casey is a Berlin-based journalist focused on housing, migration and politics.

Ruari has been a freelance reporter and producer since 2014 and has worked with CNN International, Thomson Reuters Foundation, VICE News, Al Jazeera, Irish Times, Deutsche Welle and others.

He has twice been awarded grants from the Simon Cumbers Media Fund and was named a UN Foundation Press Fellow in 2017.
