Rohit Upadhyay is an Indian journalist, documentarian, and YouTuber known for his in-depth reports on environmental issues, public health, and minority rights. 

He has been an independent journalist since 2019, and his work has been published in The Wire, IndiaSpend, Outlook (Indian magazine), and BBC. He is a grantee of ICFJ, Earth Journalism Network, JournalismFund Europe and Google News Initiative and is also one of the 49 journalists selected for Youtube's Creator Program For Independent Journalists worldwide. He has published more than 500 stories on his social media channels and gained more than one million followers. 

Upadhyay has forayed into producing documentaries with Footloose; A Story of Belonging (2020) was his first project as documentary filmmaker and the film was officially selected and screened in the ‘Lift Off Film Festival 2020’, at Pinewood Studios, UK.
