Rita Cruz is an investigative journalist with an interest in cross-border collaboration.

She has been focusing on developing her data journalism skills, with a particular focus on geodata and map designing. Originally from Porto, Portugal, she now lives in Sweden’s second largest city Gothenburg, where she works as a freelance investigative journalist and as an intern reporter for Swedish public service TV.

As a passion project, she is a co-founder of the Gothenburg Media Hub, a non-profit that aims to create a media community in Sweden and the Nordics through promoting collaboration and networking, sharing knowledge, supporting freelance journalists in the region and building a bridge between the international and Swedish media communities.
