Patrick De Vos (1963) is a Lecturer (PhD) at the Department of People and Society at the Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Erasmushogeschool Brussel). At the department he is a coordinator for quality assurance and an advisor to the director.

He holds a Licentiate (1996) and a PhD (2003) in Political and Social Sciences from Ghent University, where he was a research fellow and teaching assistant at the Department of Political Science, as well as a member of the cross-disciplinary Research Group World-System Analysis for several years. Later on he also became a member of the Belgian Vooruitgroep: an independent, progressive and interdisciplinary research group in Flanders. His book 'Grenzeloos India' (2005) was the result of a research project funded by Journalismfund's Pascal Decroos Fund grant programme.

For many numerous years he worked as a higher education professional and advisor in Belgium and the Netherlands, acquiring professional expertise in areas like quality assurance, accreditation and blended learning. Since 2010 he is a certified secretary of the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
