Patricia Ruiz Guevara is a technology journalist based in Madrid.
Patricia is the AI and Disinformation Strategy Coordinator at Fundación Maldita.es and the Maldita Tecnología Coordinator. She holds a degree in mathematics and specialises in science and technology journalism. An award-winning journalist, she has won the Boehringer Ingelheim Prize for Health Journalism, the Orange Journalism and Sustainability Award and the Personal Data Communication Award from the Spanish Data Protection Agency. She has worked for the Spanish edition of MIT Technology Review and has been published in other leading Spanish media outlets, including El País, elDiario.es and Forbes España.
At Fundación Maldita.es, Patricia focuses on explaining the impact of technology and digital platforms on people's lives, and on analysing the relationship between artificial intelligence and disinformation. She also looks at how social networks affect cybersecurity and data protection.
