Nikita Varenov is a news journalist and editor specializing in Russian domestic politics and international relations, including the Middle East, the Caucasus and Minor Asia.
He manages a team of journalists who publish news stories about events in Russia and developments in Russia's conflict with Ukraine. In March 2022, he left Russia under the threat of persecution for his publications. He currently lives in Tbilisi, Georgia.
