Michele Curel has been a freelance photographer for more than thirty years. She has published her work in prestigious North American and European publications.

Specialised in portrait and architectural photography, she has dedicated herself in the more recent past to producing multimedia and video documentary projects on local issues regarding sustainable forest management, women empowerment and drought in the Iberian Peninsula, in order to bridge the gap between urban and rural societies, since becoming a forest landowner and managing a cork forest. She is always looking for under reported environmental issues as well as positive solutions.

Michele holds a Bachelor degree in journalism from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan. She has exhibited frequently in solo and group photography exhibitions and has received numerous awards.
