Maruša Mohar is a journalist and project manager at Zavod ZON in Slovenia.
She has been researching the fields of economics, politics, sports and culture in Zasavje for more than a year.
She is currently studying to become a social network organiser, with a particular focus on communicating and spreading positivity and motivation through journalistic contributions. This is reflected in her portrayal of the region's residents and their stories.
Since 2018, she has been an active volunteer in local associations. Her responsibilities include managing the association, communicating with partners, and organising various events and activities that benefit society.
This gives her an even deeper understanding of society in Zasavje, which she also uses to her advantage in her investigative journalism. Understanding society's issues enables her to identify people's information needs.
