Martijn D'haene (Belgium) is a documentary filmmaker and founder of the production company Het Peloton.
Martijn studied at the Rits film school and worked for years at production companies Woestijnvis and De Raconteurs. For Canvas he worked on the documentary series 'De Leraarskamer', '100 Jaar Vooruit', 'Meneer De Burgemeester' and 'Belgasport'. And on 'De Ronde', 'Basta', 'De Rechtbank', 'God en klein Pierke', ... for Eén. Martijn works as an editor, cameraman and director.
At the beginning of 2013, Martijn founded the film house Het Peloton, which realises tailor-made audiovisual concepts for organisations, companies and public services. This also means a new creative start, as the documentary Backup Butembo was born in the first year of Het Peloton. Het Peloton wants to focus on strong stories and continue to look for inventive ways to bring these stories to the screen. Plenty of challenges for the future.
