Marleen Daniëls is a Belgian photographer specialising in reportage and fashion.

As a freelance photographer, she has worked on projects focusing on child labour in India, rural life in Romania, travel reports along the Black Sea coast, Belgian traditions, and China.

Having studied at St.-Lucas in Hasselt and Technicum in Antwerp, she began her career as a freelance photographer in the early 1980s. A reportage photographer at heart, she has covered human interest stories about war, refugee crises and child labour. Her work has been published in Stern, Paris Match, Time, the New York Times and Dutch National Geographic.

Alongside the Antwerp Six, she began a career as a fashion photographer, becoming one of the first to photograph backstage at fashion shows. She travelled to Milan and Paris for the Belgian press, and later for designers such as Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Dirk Bikkembergs, Raf Simons, and Veronique Branquinho.

In the mid-1990s, Marleen Daniëls started working for the Dutch Elle. Her fashion reports and portraits of the biggest names in fashion have been published in several notable magazines. She continues to work as a freelancer, taking on private commissions and working on her personal long-term projects.
