Karl Mancini is an Italian documentary photographer who works in between Rome and Buenos Aires. 

He has worked in more than 90 countries, with a particular preference for Asia and South America, following Socio-Historical and political events and focusing on issues such as gender violence, war aftermaths, minorities, human rights, environment, migration.

His longterm work “Vivir para contarlo” on gender violence and women’s movements fight for a fundamental human rights has been awarded, among others, at the Sony World photography Award, Luis Valtuena International Humanitarian Photography Award, Days Japan International Photojournalism Award, Gomma Grant, Photon Award, Prix Visa Ani, Kolga Award and selected among the finalists of the prestigious Alexia Foundation professional grant and Leica Oscar Barnack Award.  

In 2022 and in 2023 he was grantee from the Pulitzer Center on crisis reporting for his long term work “In the Name of Wellness” and his research of the effects of climate change on people and the planet.
