Irupé Tentorio (Argentina) is a freelance journalist with over 15 years of experience reporting on critical issues in Argentina and Mercosur.
Her career began at the prestigious Argentine newspaper Página/12, known for its unwavering commitment to human rights policies. Tentorio has extensive experience covering national and international politics, social and environmental issues, gender and sexual diversity issues, as well as human rights (legislation, treaties and landmark trials).
Irupé has received international fellowships from the Pulitzer Centre and Journalism Fund Europe to investigate deforestation in Argentina's Chaco ecosystem, and from the International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) to report on the difficulties of accessing reproductive rights in Argentina during Javier Milei's administration. Irupé has also received national grants, such as those from the National Arts Fund and the Cultural Patronage Fund, to report on gender inequalities and their economic impact.
