Geela Garcia is a freelance multimedia journalist and peasant advocate based in Manila, Philippines.

Her photographic work, which documents stories of women, food sovereignty, and the environment, aims to write history from the experience of its makers. Her writing and photography appear on the Thomson Reuters Foundation, South China Morning Post, and Philstar among others.

Garcia was among the Top 10 finalists of the Asia Centre 2021-2022 Equitable Asia Award. She is a recipient of reporting grants from the Earth Journalism Network, Climate Tracker, Oxfam Philippines, and Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom among others.
