Gabriela Ferreira is a journalist and PhD candidate in Communication Sciences at NOVA FCSH.

She holds a master's degree in Social Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), a postgraduate degree in Communication and Image and a degree in Journalism from the same university. For twelve years, she has been a reporter and presenter in six of the main Brazilian newsrooms, including Rede Globo de Comunicação, and has dedicated her research to issues of innovation and journalistic work.

She is a researcher at ICNOVA's Obi.Media (Media Innovation Observatory) and a member of the Political Economy of Communication research group at PUC-Rio (EPC/PUC-Rio/Brazil).
