Florence Inyabuntu, 31, was born and lives in Burundi. In 2020, she began her career as a journalist for the newspaper Burundi ECO. She quickly specialized in social issues, particularly women’s rights, children’s rights, and the rights of people living with disabilities. She is also focused on promoting entrepreneurship among young Burundians.

Later, Florence developed an interest in environmental issues and became a member of various networks of environmental journalists, both nationally and internationally, where she holds several positions. In addition to her work for Burundi ECO, she is a correspondent for other international media outlets, such as Mubali Multimedia, a Tanzanian media organization.

Florence graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences at the Université Lumière de Bujumbura.
