ALYTUS / WEINSTADT – This project explores inclusion as far more than mere accessibility, focusing on participation, equality, and career opportunities for individuals with disabilities. While public discourse often limits the subject to special schools and sheltered workshops, compelling models exist that demonstrate how genuine inclusion in the workforce can be achieved through creativity, courage, and professionalism.

KYIV / WEINSTADT - Across Europe, the hunt for lithium is intensifying — fueled by the energy transition and the booming demand for electric vehicles. While the EU has long depended on imports, projects in countries like Germany and Ukraine are now pushing to tap domestic resources. 

WEINSTADT / PRAGUE / TORINO / ALYTUS - Loneliness in old age is a growing but often invisible crisis across Europe. Millions of older people live in isolation, cut off from family ties and community life. The consequences go far beyond sadness: social isolation is linked to depression, dementia, cardiovascular disease, and higher mortality rates, including suicide.

UTRECHT / WEINSTADT - Research shows that climate justice is a crucial condition for gaining large-scale support for climate policies. However, despite its importance, research also indicates that fairness is not a key consideration for many governments when developing such policies.

UTRECHT / PRAGUE / WEINSTADT – All over Europe the access to affordable housing is shaking. Over the last ten years prices of houses have increased with 48% on average in the EU, and the number of homeless people have risen to an estimated 1.3 million people.

TIRANA / WEINSTADT / PRAGUE - The project brings together journalists from Albania, Germany, and the Czech Republic to investigate how Europe can balance the growing demand for renewable energy with the urgent need to protect its rivers.

PRAGUE / TIRANA / WEINSTADT – This project explores the surprising new roles of Czech military bunkers, which were once part of the defence system built in the 1930s. Brno’s 10-Z shelter has been revived by historian Pavel Paleček, who has turned it into a museum, cultural venue and unconventional accommodation serving retro breakfasts.
