Dora Santos Silva is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH), in the Department of Communication Sciences, and a researcher at ICNOVA - NOVA's Communication Institute.

She has a degree in Communication Sciences, a master's degree in Contemporary Culture and New Technologies (both from NOVA FCSH) and a PhD in Digital Media from the UT Austin | Portugal international program.

She coordinates the Postgraduate Program in Cultural Communication and Creative Industries, the Master's Degree in Journalism and Obi.Media - Media Innovation Observatory, which she founded in 2021.
