Christian Elia is a journalist and writer based in Bologna, Italy.
He has been covering the Balkans and the Middle East since the late 1990s. He has produced reports from over 40 countries which have been published by Internazionale, L'Espresso and other Italian and foreign media outlets. He is a member of the investigative journalism collective IRPI Media and collaborates with MicroMega. He is also the editor-in-chief of ArabPop and Q Code Mag. He is a journalism lecturer and has won several awards in Italy for his books and reports.
