Arielle Sleutel is a Belgian filmproducer.

Arielle studied ‘Directing & Production’ at the RITCS (then HRITCS ) in Brussels. She then started as a director of corporate films and worked as a production manager for several production houses. In 1998, Arielle joined Pix & Motion, an artistic production house specialising in publicity films, music videos and television generics. (Twice winning a Silver Lion at Cannes).

At the end of the milenium Arielle Sleutel brought together several partners to start the sound post production house MASDA (Music and Sound Associates, becomes Sonicville in 2007). Together with her husband Hans Helewaut and architect Inge Sleutel, they renovated an old milk factory into a beautiful 4,500m2 post-production complex. All the furnishings and decoration are by her.

After having worked for the French-speaking MDW Productions for a few years, in 2002 Sleutel left the world of advertising and started as a producer of fiction films and documentaries. In the brand-new fiction department of RAB, which a little later merged with P&M to become Caviar, her job is mainly to develop and finance projects. But she can also steer a number of projects there from germinating idea to proud premiere.

Since Arielle and her husband adopted a newborn, she has regularly been confronted with the lack of understanding about ‘giving up your child’. 'As I found little literature or films about birth mothers, I decided to give them a voice myself. For television, she therefore made Outside Spring, a documentary about two women who gave up their child at birth.
