World Press Freedom Day Event with Nils Mulvad, Rob Wijnberg, a.o.

Journalismfund.eu's 2013 conference on investigative and data journalism, #dataharvest13, takes place on 3 and 4 May 2013 in Brussels. As a separate part of the conference, Journalismfund.eu, together with PEN Vlaanderen, will organise a special event on freedom of speech and freedom of the press on Friday evening 3 May 2013, World Press Freedom Day.

PEN Vlaanderen will invite Marleen Teugels (board member) to present the findings of an exploratory study that she conducted for the organisation into the state of freedom of expression and freedom of the press in Flanders.

Afterwards, there will be a group interview on press freedom and safeguarding investigative journalism in Europe. The panel will consist of (investigative) journalism heavyweights, one of whom is Journalismfund.eu's brand new ex-jury member Nils Mulvad. Dutch journalist Rob Wijnberg has also confirmed. Margo Smit will moderate the interview.
