BRUSSELS - If you have always envisioned yourself as an international news reporter, this is the right opportunity for you! The application process for MoNYS 2013 Press Room is now open.

Model NATO Youth Summit (MoNYS) is the largest international simulation of NATO’s decision-making process in the world and the only one in Europe. Its second edition will be held in Brussels, between 8th and 13th of July 2013, and will gather more than 200 students from across the globe, for a week of diplomatic experience at the highest level.

Model NATO Youth Summit will give you the chance to discover first-hand what it means to work for a major media channel and cover the activities of one of the most important institutions in the world, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

MoNYS is looking for media and communication students aged between 18 and 28, with demonstrated experience in the field and interested in simulations such as MoNYS. A deep understanding of how the international political scene functions and how world changing decisions are taken is also recommended.

The journalists of MoNYS Press Room will cover all the events that will take place during the Summit and report on their progress every day, acting like correspondents for major international newspapers and broadcasting stations. They will also have the chance to interview NATO diplomats and high level professionals, all guest speakers at MoNYS 2013.

MoNYS Press Room will consist of 9 journalists, organised as follows: 6 Writers, one Photo journalist and one Video Journalist. The team will be coordinated by the Editor-in-Chief. At this moment, all positions mentioned above are open for applications.
