Event - Cancer World Journalism Award

Cancer World Journalism Award
Few issues are more important for serious journalism than cancer. Almost one in two of us will be diagnosed with the disease and its burden is growing globally.
Journalism that is making a difference should be celebrated. The international print and online magazine Cancer World is looking for outstanding pieces of journalism published between October 2016 and April 2018 that is changing the way we think about cancer. We are looking for journalists to submit one or more items of their work – whether in print, online, on radio, video or television – into the following categories:
  • Patient and carer experience
  • Research, science and treatment
  • Policy, services and affordability
  • Prevention
A prize of €1500 is available for the winner in each category. The journalist judged the overall winner will also be funded to attend the 2018 ECCO Summit in Vienna (7th-9th September 2018), where he/she will be presented with their award.
The closing date for applications is 1st May 2018.
