BRUSSELS - Wouter Van Driessche, journalist for Belgian financial daily De Tijd, received the Benelux Citi Journalistic Excellence Award on Thursday April 23rd in Luxembourg. The prize is a seminar at the Columbia Journalism School.

PARIS - French journalist Prune Antoine has been awarded the Prix Louise Weiss for European Journalism for her story on organ trafficking in Kosovo, supported by Journalismfund.eu. The prize is awarded every year to French-speaking, European journalists.
Leipzig - Four actors of the “Peaceful Revolution” of 1989 in East Germany and an Afghan journalist will be honoured with the Leipzig Prize for the Freedom and Future of the Media 2014. Last year, the prize went to Journalismfund.eu founders Brigitte Alfter and Ides Deburyne.
BRUSSELS - On Tuesday 8 April 2014 the fifth edition of the EU Health Prize for Journalists was awarded. Dutch journalist Henk Blanken received the main prize.
MILAN - The European School of Oncology (ESO) has announced its annual Best Cancer Reporter Award as well as a new initiative on cancer reporting the Cancer World Journalist Grant.
